New York state is setting up $6 million to keep USA Luge's home office in Lake Placid for the following five years, Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office reported Saturday.
Domain State Development will put $1 million in showcasing and advancement of USA Luge — including $200,000 every year more than five years to bolster the affiliation's broadcast occasions — and the Olympic Regional Development Authority will burn through $5 million to assemble another begin slope office.
USA Luge's top managerial staff voted collectively Saturday to keep its central command in Lake Placid, picking the Adirondack town over Park City, Utah.
"USA Luge assumes a focal part in Lake Placid's storied history, and we are excited they will stay in the locale," Cuomo said in an announcement. USA Luge has been headquartered in Lake Placid since it was made in 1979.
